Our sponsors are an integral part of the Programme and without their help, the Programme could not function. We would like to thank our sponsors for all the help they have given us in the past and for helping to make the Programme as successful as it is today. OLIP has always been supported by a substantial annual grant from the Ontario Legislative Assembly through the all-party Board of Internal Economy. However, corporate donations have been an important element in OLIP financing and these donations have been used to fund exchange visits and related educational activities. The Programme enjoys a very close working relationship with Churchill Society For the Advancement of Parliamentary Democracy and GP Murray Research Ltd.

How to Become an OLIP Sponsor

The Ontario Legislature Internship Programme welcomes donations from private individuals as well as corporate sponsors. We regularly receive donations from private individuals, including a number of former interns. All donations are tax deductible and an official income tax receipt will be issued by the C.P.S.A.

Benefits of Sponsoring OLIP (view pdf)

Sponsors will benefit from attending the bi-annual receptions, held in the legislative building, which in the past have been attended by the Premier, many Ministers and other dignitaries. Sponsors will also have the opportunity to meet with the interns on a more informal basis to talk about the role of their company and have a link to their company on the OLIP website. All sponsors are issued a tax receipt for their donation by the CPSA and sponsors will also benefit from knowing that their donation has contributed to the development of the next generation of young thinkers, policy makers, analysts, academics and citizens.
